Job Description/Responsibilities

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep our facility safe, functional, and ready for daily operations. You'll perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot building and equipment issues, and handle repairs across areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility upkeep. What You'll Do

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility systems, buildings, and equipment, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and urgent facility issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs to minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and safety systems to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Work with internal teams and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities, support facility projects, and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, construction, or a related skilled trade.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, and general building maintenance practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize maintenance requests and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Technical school, apprenticeship, trade certification, or other formal training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and responding to maintenance issues in a manufacturing, warehouse, food and beverage, or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements, safety procedures, work order systems, and continuous improvement practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and safely use hand and power tools while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and work in various positions throughout the facility.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to noise, wet or humid conditions, varying temperatures, and moving equipment.
