As a Plastics Lead, you'll help lead daily operations within the Plastics Department to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and production targets are met. You'll provide hands-on direction and support to employees, help coordinate startup activities, ensure equipment and materials are ready for the shift, and use problem-solving tools to address issues and reduce production losses. This is a great opportunity for an experienced plastics or manufacturing professional who enjoys leading by example, developing others, and helping a production team perform at its best.
D (Rotating) Schedule: Thursday–Saturday | 36 hours
Wednesday–Saturday | 48 hours
What You'll Do
- Lead and support assigned employees throughout the shift to achieve daily safety, quality, productivity, and production targets.
- Conduct shift startup meetings and Tier I meetings while ensuring production paperwork, checklists, and other required documentation are completed accurately.
- Ensure the assigned production area has the proper equipment, materials, supplies, and resources needed to operate effectively throughout the shift.
- Provide hands-on coaching, training, and day-to-day direction to employees, including temporary team members, while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
- Identify and address production, equipment, quality, and staffing issues using problem-solving tools while supporting continuous improvement and the department's zero-loss objectives.
