Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot plastic molding processes, including injection molding, blow molding, and other related processes.

  • Adjust machine settings to maintain optimal performance, quality, and production output.

  • Perform mold changeovers and machine calibrations as required.

  • Monitor product quality, identify defects, and take corrective action to meet quality standards.

  • Perform routine and minor preventive maintenance on molding machines and related equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate setup.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce scrap.

  • Accurately complete production, quality, and maintenance documentation, including ERP transactions.

  • Train and support operators and new technicians on machine operation, safety, and best practices.

  • Assist with new equipment installations, process improvements, and technology upgrades.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to equipment, materials, and process flow to minimize downtime.

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Plastic Process Technician, Machine Operator, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of plastic molding processes such as injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion.

  • Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product quality.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with quality control practices and SPC methods.

  • Comfortable working with hand tools, machinery, and industrial equipment.

  • Basic computer skills, including Windows-based systems and ERP platforms.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
